If you are looking for my MyScrapbookNook Blog Hop post, you find it here.
-------------
My world is full of men: - I work with men - there aren't many women in the construction business
- My husband is a man - obvious, or he would be my partner, not my husband
- My FIL lives with us - MIL died twenty five years ago
- My kids are both boys - blaim it on my husband *lol*
- Even our budgies and remaining Endeler's Guppies in the fish tank are men
So I am well trained in doing masculine layouts.
I remember so well when I started scrapping: finding masculine embellishments was so hard, but girly stuff was all over, you know flowers, bling and stuff.Over the years I have developed good skills in making my own embellies and I claim to have an eye for finding masculine stuff, like the ones one the image above. Ad some twine in neutral colors, some papers in masculine colors, and you are there :-)
Wood banner from MME Fun alpha stickers from AC/Amy Tangerine Another home made epoxy button using the same manufacorers as above |
I spotted this lovely sketch over at the Get Picky Blog and I so wanted to try it out.
And then I had these photos of hubby in his Man Cave.
The perfect combination which resulted in this layout:
Blue PP: Echo Park Kraft PP: MME |
Yellow/grey twine is croched to ad more substanse to it Office supplies from AC Very, very, very oldfashioned black eyelets (do you still have yours?) Button from Ormolu |
So what do you say - is it possible to make a masculine layout without embellishments and papers designed for boys and mens layouts? I think so :-)
Thank you for taking your time to stop by.
Now head over to the Get Picky blog to see the inspirational layouts from the DT and the fun, original sketch!
