Klar for EuroDisney - Ready for EuroDisney

I was positivly surprised by EuroDisney: the architecture, the attractions, how stylish it was. And since we were there off season, the lines weren't too bad and we managed to try out what we wanted.

Landemerket:
The most known attraction?

Og jeg fikk endelig scrappet med råååååsa.
And I finally got a chance to scrap with pink!

Jeg bare MÅTTE ha disse:
I just NEEDED these:

The papers from Lily Bee was just perfect for this picture!

Endelig ferie / Finally vacation

I admit it: we kind of cheated and had a pre vacation in May when we visited EuroDisney. But it's right now our real vacation is.

This year we had to take a trip to Bergen. We extended our trip with a few days to be able to see more of the mountain areas in Norway. One reason to visit Bergen is that you don't have to travel far away to be able to get up in the mountains.

Dette er Bergen sentrum:
This is downtown Bergen:

Taubanen opp til Ulriken tar 4-5 minutter:
The cable lift up to the top of the mountain "Ulriken" takes 3-4 minutes:

A true pain in the ... It started with a few cute plants which came from nowhere a few years ago. Now they have invided a large part of the garden. I need to clean up!

10 1/2

I was so happy to find that the challenge blog "Scrap the boys" are running again after a brake. A great blog for us who scrap boy layouts.

The first challenge (copied from the blog):

For the first challenge we thought we would make it a nice easy one…but something our busy lives forget to do….and that is capture the vital information of your boy right now.
So for your layout I would like you to use a portrait shot, one of those “nothing photos” (you know that photo you love but does not have a story or event attached to it) and record your boy’s vital statistics right now making sure you add in some quirky facts about them.

Her har dere Marinius, 10 1/2 år, mitt eldste barn.
I introduce: Marinius, 10 1/2 YO, my oldest kid.

The papers are from SEI. I think they are sooo pretty and just HAD TO have them - me who never have the chance to scrap with pink. Well, I guess I can pet them while waiting for another chance to scrap with pink.

Summer!

We have finally got summer temperatures here in Norway. If someone please could turn of the wind...

DS7 spent his savings on a new boat. Patience is a word he doesn't understand and he did not have time to wait for the heat before testing his new purchase.

DIYs - Selvbyggere

"Everybody" knows I'm a sketch freak. My everyday life is busy, and it's great to have something kick starting my scrapping process - I get more acomplished. But sometimes I do it all my self - pick the number of pictures and the size, decide the placement, cut papers just like I want to. Like I did on this two pager.

The kids are building a tree hut in our backyard - real DIYs (click on images if you want them larger):

The numbers of visitors on my blog since July 7ht 2010. I wonder who #5000 will be :-)

Thank you all of you who have visited my little corner for the last year - you are all very important to me!

I just don't get it... part Two

In my previous post I wrote about sketches I like, but where the outcome not is as excpected, however how much I try. Today I'll talk about the oposite: sketches I don't like but where the result is just great.

Take this sketch by Krissy, Wicked Princesses, as an example. It's a great sketch, and I can't say I really dislike it, but it just isn't quite me. From time to time I like to challenge myself, so I decided to give it a try. And I love the result...

Takk Krissy, for at du lager så gode skisser!

Thank you, Krissy, for making such good sketches!
