Two Pager Layout Made In A Minute

Is it possible to put together a two pager layout in a minute?

Yes! It's just a matter of having the right stuff - and your photos edited and printed. Do you, like me, find that often the photo editing part is the most time consuming part (or just boring *lol*) of the creative process? I don't have any fancy photo editing programs - not even PhotoShop (!), so all I do is some cropping and brightening - but still!


OK, here is how I did:

I gathered my stuff, spread out my photos, inserted cut outs and corrugated houses (Click on images for the full screen version):

added twine, title, some stickers and did some very simple journaling

and voila! A complete two pager layout made in a minute!

As usual I'm curious and have a question for you: what do you prefer to make: one photo layouts, or multiphoto layouts?

One of the fun things about scrapping and the world wide web, is that you learn to know people from all over the world. And some of them you get to actually meet IRL as well.

Last year Anna Sigga (Iceland) popped in when she was in the neighbourhood and a month ago the fabolous Pysselpetra (Sweden) and her family stayed at the Scoobie mansion when they where heading for the Norwegian mountains. For the record, they are both Nook Girls.

So we all had a great time: the kids had some slight language issues in the beginning, but sorted it out quickly, we had great food, talked and laughed a lot.

And the next morning we took a walk to the beach to burn some energy before they started on their 5 1/2 h car trip.

These photos, and this happening, is scrap worthy, don't you think?

Do you, like me, have school photos lying around? Do you, like me, find them hard to scrap? I don’t know if it is the size they come in, they are often so big, the colors, the theme…


Here, we all get a copy of a group photo, too, when the kids are 1th graders. I must admit I was very disappointed when we got a collection of portrait photos instead, when my oldest son was six. It has hung in his room until now, but when we did a renovation there two weeks ago, I decided to scrap it – the kid is now a 7th grader and find this photo not very decorative any more *lol*


Over at MyScrapbooknook I have a class where I share with you how you can make a portrait collection like this a little more interesting by transforming it to images perfect for a two pager.

What do you do with school photos? Frame them? Hide them? Scrap them? Tell me, I'm curious!

Brødre - brothers - a two pager :-)

Hello!

My two boys are like most brothers - they fight, argue, play - and are the best friends ever if a common enemy aproach.... So behaviour like this at the pool is, I would say, a very boyish one. Tell me, does your boys do stuff like this? If you have girls, are they into this physical gaming, too?








This two pager is made with materials from MyScrapbookNook March kit. I have prepared a how to class for this layou which will be up at the Nook MB as soon as it's running again.

This two pager might be a bit different from two pagers you normally see as it is asymetric. I got the idea from browsing some digi blogs some time back, but I cannot remember which one, so I can't leave any credits. All I remember is a double spread with a huge photo on the right side, some random put photos (polaroid?) on the left side, doilies and bright spring colors like yellow and green. Do you know which one I mean? Can you give me a link so I can leave credits? Btw, browsing digi blogs are a great source for ideas and design - they are "off course" able to do stuff "impossible" with traditional materials, but there are always a few ideas to pick up - like in any traditional blog. Tell me, where have you found your inspiration lately? papers, blogs, galleries?

I saved my puppy from drowning!

OK, she's not a puppy any more. She is six, but she pretty much looks like a puppy and certainly acts like one.

Anyway. Sunday three weeks ago was a beautiful day and we took the dogs for a swim. We threw some sticks to them, but one of them was obviously to heavy and big for RL Scoobie. She started drifting away from the beach, but no way she would let the stick go.

In the the end the panic took her, and she just splashed around. I had no choice than getting my clothes off and swim out to get her, or she would have drowned. Don't forget: I live in Norway, we are heading winter here: I'm taking fall colors and - as I chose to call it - refreshing water.

Luckily, hubby was there with me. He had his camera. And took some pictures *lol*. And as lots of neighbours were on the beach, BBQing and fishing, I was happy I had pretty underwear on that day.

Utrolig/Incredible

Et par innlegg ned viste jeg noen bilder fra Ulriken utenfor Bergen. Det er helt utrolig at du finner dette bare et par minutter fra byen. Her er hva jeg gjorde med bildene.

A few posts down I showed some picures from the mountain Ulriken outside Bergen. It's incredible that you find this just a few minutes from town. Here is my layout about it.

DIYs - Selvbyggere

"Alle" vet at jeg er en skissefrik. I en travel hverdag er det godt å få en kickstart når jeg skal scrappe - da får jeg gjort litt mer. Men noen ganger tar jeg meg tid til å starte helt fra scratch - skrive ut bilder, plassere dem, kutte papir etter eget forgodtbefinnede - og det føles bra. Som på denne dobbel-layouten.

"Everybody" knows I'm a sketch freak. My everyday life is busy, and it's great to have something kick starting my scrapping process - I get more acomplished. But sometimes I do it all my self - pick the number of pictures and the size, decide the placement, cut papers just like I want to. Like I did on this two pager.

Two pagers - dobbeltlayouter

Da jeg startet å scrappe, lagde jeg nesten bare dobbeltlayouter - jeg hadde så mange bilder jeg ville bruke og ikke tale om at jeg fikk klemt alle inn på en side. Så har jeg vært gjennom en periode nesten helt uten disse doble, og holdt meg til ett-fire bilder, men nå er jeg plutselig tilbake til de doble igjen. Hva er det som står i brettspillerne: "Rykk tilbake til start"?

When I started scrapping, I made almost nothing but two pagers - I had so many pictures I wanted to use and no way I could squeese them all into one single page. Later I went into the one page phase with one - four photos, and almost no two pagers - but now I find myself turning back to the basics. It's like what's written on some of the board games"Return to start".
