Good morning!
First of all - thank you to all of you who have visited my blog lately. It means so much to me that you take your time to see me - and reading all the sweet comments always make my days!
Today is Team B Reveal Day at Once Upon A Sketch (OUAS). This month's theme is
Season (Winter, spring, summer, autumn)
and here is the challenge and sketch which goes with it:
We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "Season" however you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below. Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . Hidden journalling is perfectly fine.
Ideas for journalling: current season in your part of the world, favourite season, seasonal traditions on your part of the word, a childhood memory, a summer romance, what summer/autumn/winter/spring brings for you, baby it's cold outside, summer loving, spring is in the air, autumn breeze, summer holidays, seasonal changes, etc etc. Anything goes ..
Here is my take on the challenge. Even though I love all our seasons, summer is my fav: long days, fewer clothes, kids (and adults) spending more time outdoors etc etc. This photo is taken in late June when we went crab fishing with my Swedish scrap friend Pysselpetra and her family.
This is the first time I have used modelling paste on a layout, and I really loved how it turned out. I used negatives from the chipboard as mask for the clouds directly painted on the backround paper.

Branch and butterflies are inked, the butterflies also given a touch of glimmer mist. The chipboard clouds were given a coat of modelling paste before slingtly inked with grey ink.
