Time to say goodbye...

I just can't believe this term with Creative Scrappers is already over. Beeing a part of the DT has been a pure joyride and I have made some new scrappy friends, too. I chose not to reapply for a new term right now, as I know this spring will be extremely busy with life in general, but maybe Kristine will give me a second chance on a later occation?

Here is the last sketch from Creative Scappers I had the oportunity to se loooong before the official reveal:

And here is the layout I made with it, featuring DS9 and his buddy in the amusing park last summer:

Patterned Papers: Fancy Pants, Stitch stamp: WRMK, Button: Marens Landhandleri, Alpha: Fancy Pants, Adornit

Close up detail: Stars made with Lifestyle Dies

If you chose to play with us and the sketch this week, don't forget to link back to the Creative Scrappers' blog for a chance to win one of the prizes from our wonderful sponsors.

Tuesday Giveaway + shopping ideas

Hello.

Tuesday means Giveaway Day on my blog and today I have this card kit to give away:

This card kit is perfect for masculine cards, but I'm pretty sure you will find ways to use them for feminin cards as well.

Entering the drawing is super easy: just leave me a comment in this blog post before Friday february 12th midnight GMT+1. The winner will be drawn by random on Saturday and you will have one week to claim your prize.

Prizes from the first two drawings, this one and this one, hasn't been claimed yet. If the winners don't contact me before Saturday morning, I'll do new drawings along with the one from this week.

Good luck!

Are you as excited for the new arrivels from this CHA as I am? And I have a hard time deciding which ones to buy: I have seen some fab stuff fro Basic Grey, among them the Plumeria Collection, Echo park This And That, MME On the Bright Side etc etc. And I'm sure I want more when studying them.

I feel lucky to have a shopping discount code at my favourite online store, Stop and Scrap.

And you can have a 12% discount too, if you use the code SCOOBIES at the check out (shhh, don't tell anybody, but this is a code only readers of my blog get).

I know for sure Leah Killian at My Scrapbook Nook Kit Club already has ordered some of the new releases for the upcoming kits. That is one thing that makes this kit club unique: they always offer new HOT stuff: in fact we are really spoiled. While waiting for the new releases to arrive I'm going to have tons of fun with this fun February kit:

Just because it's Sunday

Today I have at least 5 things I want to say to you. I am no Hemingway, so I probably will not get any Nobel litterature prize for this blog post: I just give you a list of what I have on my mind. Here we go:

Here is my present for you: Every week from now and until the end of April I'm going to give away a card kit. I'll put up a blog post about it on Tuesday, you have until Friday to leave a comment, and I'll announce a winner on the following Saturdays. And winners will be drawn by random. Easy, right?

Here is a sneak peak of some of the kits:

Please come back on Tuesday for a chance to win a kit.

  2. Challenge # 5 & 6 is up at the MyScrapbookNook New Year Crop. You do not have to have participated in the previous challenges to join us - and there are still awesome prizes up for grabs. So Why don't you sneek into the forum to see what they are all about?
  3. Sketch #192 is up at Creative Scrappers today. Isn't this a great sketch? I have some other stuff to do before I can sit down and play with it, but I am for sure going to give it a try. If you use this sketch, don't forget to link back to Creative Scrappers for a chance to win one of the prizes!

Are you a sketch junkie like me? Want to be a part of the Creative Scrappers DT? There is a call going on right now: Jump in to read more about it!
  4. CHA is just around the corner and sneak peaks and reveals are popping up on the www. Have you seen anything you like so far? OMG, I'm going to be broke this spring *lol* I have already pre ordered some MME and LYB fom my favourite online store, Stop and Scrap, and I'm happy to have a coupon code that gives me a good discount. Do you want one, too? If you use the code SCOOBIES when you check out at Stop and Scrap, you will get a 12% discount. Not bad!!! So grab the code and head over to see what Stop and Scrap have for you.

  5. I got a moment of some extra mojo this week. I was browsing through photos from last summer to see if there was anyone I had forgotten to scrap. I found this photo of DS9 at sailing practise, learning how to handle the situation if the boat flips. I strongly believe he think this was the most amusing part of sailing...

    All materials from Websters pages

Have a wonderful Sunday and week, all of you, and don't forget to come back on Tuesday!

A bird in the hand...

Hi You are welcome to visit the blog post where I show off my 10 favourite creations from 2011. You find it here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A bird in the hand....

You know the saying, don't you?

But on the other hand, today is the first day in a new year, and if I want it to be an exciting year with great opportunities, I just can't stick just to the old? Hmmm, I need to find a balance - stick to what I have and still try out new stuff. I'm not sure where to start. I have to think about it...

Where are you? Are you good at stretching you limits or do you stick to the safe?

I was pleasantly surprised today when I found I could put this badge on my blog. Here is the layout which gave me the badge.

Go check out the fabolous pages from all the featured scrappers, and to see the winner's amazing layout. And while you are there, have a look at the new challenge up on the OUAS blog - I surely want to give it a try!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you want to scrap and need a mojo booster? Over at Creative Scrappers you will find this awesome sketch today:

Here is my take on it, it might be easier to see why I chose this particular heading of my blog post, he he.

DS9 and his budgie Rio

Most materials: Glitz Design

I kept my design simple to focus on the photo and the saying.

I can see myself using this sketch over again, but it was really fun working with.
Please head over to the Creative Scrappers blog to see the DT examples, play along and see what our sponsors have for you!

Happy new year!

I can't believe 2011 is over in a few hours. There has been some downs this year, off course, but I survived them all - and grew strength from them. And there has been opportunities, too - like every other year. I'm very excited to see what 2012 will bring!

As a farewell with the old year, I'm giving you the last layout I made this year (honestly, this is is not completely true, but it's the newest one I can share: you will get the other ones over the next  weeks). It's from Christmas Eveneing when all the presentents were opened and my kids cooperated to assemble their lates toys - Snow Scoots. For those who doesn't know what this is, it looks like kick bikes, but with skis instead of wheels.

Here are a few things coming from MyScrapbookNook in 2012:

It has started shipping, I have it in my hand and it's lovely!!!!

A new Nook Crop:

You don't want to miss this! Stay tuned on the forum for more info!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, here is a sneak peak on tomorrow's sketch at Creative Scrappers, or actually a sneak peak of the layout I made with it. Please pay us a visit tomorrow to see the sketch and the DT members stunning examples!

I wish you all a happy new year - must 2012 be the best year ever for all of us!

Creative Scrappers Sketch 187

It's up today, this way cool sketch by Kristine Davidson.

It might look a bit challenging at first sight, but I promise: as soon as you start working with it, it's pure fun - well balanced and great for three photo layouts. Actually, I have some more ideas for it, so I want to use it again - I just need some time to scrap. May be during the Christmas holidays? I'm taking a week off work, so there might be a chance :-)

Here is my take on the sketch, a layout about DS9's creativity. It might be in his genes, becuase he is a real master with paper. give him a pair of scissors, some papers and some glue and paper, and he is in heaven. On these photos he's making a 3D papers air plane.

Yes, those lolipop stickers are real :-)

Details - you can see the 3D foam under the letter stickers.

Have fun with the sketch. Don't forget to check out what the other DT members at Creative Scrappers did with the sketch, and to link back to the blog to get a chanse to win the prize from this month's sponsor, Niklin Designs.

Creative Scrappers Sketch #185

Sundays are sketch days at Creative Scrappers and yesterday Sketch #185 was released.

Here is my take on it:

The handsome young boy on the photo is my twelve year old, the 7th grader (hence the title).

Detail shots:

Papers from Studio Calico, the rest from here & there.

Please head over to the Creative Scrappers' blog to play along and to see the rest of the DT's stunning examples made with the sketch.

Sunday is Sketch Day at Creative Scrappers

Don't forget about my giveaway - I have four gift certificates to Stop And Scrap to give away. Pleas scroll down to the next post :-)

_________________________________________________________________________________

Sundays are ofte the day in the week where I can sit down and scrap or a few hours without beeing interupted. Creative Scrappers' sketches are early up, even for us at European time, so I often start my creative process by checking what the blog have for me.

Today Creative Scrappers provide us with this lovely sketch made by Nicole Nowosad

And here is my take on it with some close up photos.

DS9 and his buddy on an air craft museum. He is nuts about planes!

All materials except buttons from Imaginisce

I have so many ideas for this sketch, like last year's Christmas photos I haven't scrapped yet, some summer photos from my big pile etc etc. What about you, do you feel like playing? Don't forget to link your creation to the Creative Scrappers blog to get a chance to win a prize from our sponsor C'est magnefique Kit Club.

My first layout for Creative Scrappers is up!

I must admit I am excited *lol*

Here is this week's lovely sketch, made by Juliana Michaels:

And here is my take on the sketch:

They just had to try it out at the Science Center: these air blowers are design to blow balls to learn about air streams, but the kids found it more amusing to use it for making funny faces.

A true mix of old papers and embellishments from different manufactorers

Please head over to Creative Scrappers to see what the other DT members did and to learn about this month's sponsor C'est Magnifique Kit Club. Their kits are devine! And why don't you give this sketch a try?

Do you, like me, have school photos lying around? Do you, like me, find them hard to scrap? I don’t know if it is the size they come in, they are often so big, the colors, the theme…

Here, we all get a copy of a group photo, too, when the kids are 1th graders. I must admit I was very disappointed when we got a collection of portrait photos instead, when my oldest son was six. It has hung in his room until now, but when we did a renovation there two weeks ago, I decided to scrap it – the kid is now a 7th grader and find this photo not very decorative any more *lol*

Over at MyScrapbooknook I have a class where I share with you how you can make a portrait collection like this a little more interesting by transforming it to images perfect for a two pager.

What do you do with school photos? Frame them? Hide them? Scrap them? Tell me, I'm curious!
